Kune Falls:
It is a picturesque waterfall located close to the Kune village in Pune district of Maharashtra at a distance of 2 km from Khandala Railway Station, 3.5 km from Lonavala Railway Station, 94 km from Mumbai and 70 km from Pune. It is one of the most popular Maharashtra cascades and one of Lonavala’s best places to see. The Kune Falls is India’s fourteenth highest waterfall and is central to the Kandala-Lonavala valley. There is lush green vegetation and a great visual experience surrounding the site.
Dhom Dam:
It is a gravel-fill Earth dam built on the River Krishna in Satara district of Maharashtra, about 21 km from Panchgani and 97 km from Pune. It is one of the most popular places for a day’s picnic near Pune. The lake Dhom is created from the backwaters of the dam with a length of approximately 20 km. A huge number of tourists are drawn by the Dhom Dam due to the beautiful nature and boating. Panshet Dam:
A land dam built on the Ambi Riverside in Panshet, in Pune district of Maharashtra is located 45 kilometers from the town of Pune, also called Tanaji Sagar Dam. This is one of Pune’s most famous places. It lies in the lap of the Sahyadri Mountains and is surrounded by green hills with many cascades. One of the popular picnic locations near Pune Panshet attracts many Mumbai visitors. Apart from trekking, water sports are the main attraction in Panshet. It is located 6 km from Mahabaleshwar bus stop, 116 km from Pune and 252 km from Mumbai.
