Monsoon is a time when our skin experiences various problems. It is a time when we experience severe humidity, sweat, grime and heat as well as dampness and moisture. With the constant change in temperature and weather, our skin is constantly getting affected.
Monsoons bring with them a new set of skin problems. Our skin may be suddenly oily and shiny, or it may start looking dull and dry. No matter what skin type you have, almost everyone gets affected during this season. This happens mostly because of the high humidity, and also because of the fact that we wash our face repeatedly to clean all the grime and sweat.
Here are six DIY Mask for Monsoon –
1. Oatmeal and rose water mask
In a bowl, mix together 3 tsp. oatmeal, 1 tbsp. rose water and 1 tsp. each of honey and curd.
Make sure this turns into a nice smooth paste consistency.
Now apply this paste onto the cleansed face
Let it stay for some time.
Wash off with regular water after half an hour.
Use this mix twice a week.
2. Oatmeal and egg mask
In a bowl, mix together 3 tsp. oatmeal, 1 eggs white and 1 tsp. each of honey and curd.
Make sure this turns into a nice smooth paste consistency.
Now apply this paste onto the cleansed face
Let it stay for some time.
Wash off with regular water after half an hour.
Use this mix twice a week.
3. Besan, turmeric, lemon and rose water mask
Mix one tsp. of gram powder (besan) with a pinch of turmeric.
Squeeze in 2-3 drops of lemon juice and add 1-2 tsp. of rose water to make a paste.
Apply this pack onto the face and wash off after 15-20 minutes.
This is suitable for all skin types, except for those who have sensitive skin.
It will help in imparting a natural glow to the skin.
4. Mint or banana pack
Grind some handful of mint leaves to a fine paste and mash half a banana.
Mix both these paste together and apply it on your face.
Keep this paste on for 10 minutes and wash off with warm water.
5. Egg white face pack
Mix one egg white with one tsp of honey to make a fine paste.
Apply it all over your face and allow it to set until it gets dry.
Wipe it off and wash your face with cold water.
6. Rose petals pack
Soak rose petals in water, then crush it and mix it well with honey, yogurt, rose water.
Apply the paste to your face for 15 minutes and wash it off with cold water.
