Hey Guys! We are currently in coronavirus pandemic. Depending on where you are in the world it could be mildly or incredibly serious. Regardless, it can be terrifying. But instead of getting into the fear or panic do your best to stay calm and be safe. Practice social distancing and wash your hands, this is a time to follow “staying home can save lives.” Since this is the best thing we can do right now, why not use it as an opportunity to go inward and explore yourself for self-care and self-motivation.
1. Disconnect from Social alerts:
Whether it’s news, social networks, or emails, stop consuming excess content that adds to your fear, stress, and anxiety. There is a fine line between being aware and giving into the ego that loves drama. To detach yourself from the chaos, put your phone away, and create a quiet, peaceful head-space where you’re not caught in the stress.
2. Set up a nice playlist:
Set the mood for your self-care staycation by putting on your favorite playlist. I listen to alexrainbirdMusic while working at home and meditation music for yoga studio feel.
3. Improve your skills:
You may also use this opportunity to learn something new by watching tutorials or studying online.
4. Meditation:
To relax your mind and anxiety, the only thing you can do is meditate. Even if the outside world is crazy, you should strive to keep the inner life grounded and calm.
5. Listen to your heart:
You don’t need to constantly try to make a list or keep busy throughout your staycation. What if you didn’t do anything? Just don’t do anything, then listen to your heart and see what it needs. Let it open to see what’s going to happen.
The idea is not to feel compelled or under pressure to do anything. This is your chance to discover yourself, and you can do anything you want to do.
I hope all of you stay free. Take care of your physical and emotional health.
Note: you can’t control what’s going on in the world, but you can always control how you RESPOND it.
